Comas has been commissioned to develop systems and practices for early intervention with young people involved in offending or anti-social behaviour. These systems are expected to be in keeping with Getting It Right For Every Child.

This work will run from April 2010 to October 2010.

City of Edinburgh Council

Children and Families

 Comas has been commissioned to undertake a rapid appraisal study in the East Edinburgh Neighbourhood of Craigmillar and Portobello. The study will profile the community and the support currently available to parents and carers in the area, with a view to providing a resource and an indication of areas for development for a new Parent and Carer Support Worker based in the neighbourhood.

This work will be undertaken over a short period of time in the early summer of 2010.

Scottish Homelessness Employability Network

Comas has been commissioned to compile a series of case studies on people in temporary accommodation who are taking steps towards further education or employment.

This work will run until mid April 2010.

Citadel Youth Centre

 

Comas worked with Citadel Youth Centre to prepare a major fundraising campaign to build a state-of-the-art extension on their youth centre in the heart of Leith to ensure that young people there have the best facilities to prepare for their future.

After the success of the Citadel Youth Centre renovation Comas are continuing to work with the Citadel to continue fundraising campaigns and support organisational development.

 

 

 Crew

 

Comas has helped Crew to successfully communicate its achievements to a wider audience, and work towards a sustainable future by exploring methods of income generation and fundraising to ensure Crew continues to provide first class services for young drug users.
