She is a qualified ILM 5 Coach Over 20 years she has managed and worked for small and large voluntary organisations, local government and the Scottish Government, focusing on services to children and young people. Ian Leaver is experienced in supporting rural communities with significant projects such as community land ownership and capital projects such as community power generation. He won the 'Community' Award for the Forward Scotland Champion for Sustainable Communities Awards in 2008.
